Valley freelance food writer’s home burglarized, dog still missing

By Jess Harter Thursday, May 12, 2011

Valley freelance food writer Sharon Salomon’s home was burglarized today, and her beloved dog Xena was either taken or let loose in the neighborhood of 20th Street and Glendale Avenue in Phoenix.

Salomon, who blogs at Diary of a Dieting Dietitian, describes Xena as a 15-month-old lab/hound mix, black and brown with a distinctive white diamond pattern on her chest. She also has white on her feet and weighs about 70 pounds.

If you live in the area, please keep an eye out for Xena. If you know anyone else in the area, please pass the word along.

I can’t believe the cruelty of people. It’s horrible enough that she had her house broken into, but to take or let loose her pet? That’s heartless.
