T.C. Eggington’s owners open Ncounter on Mill Avenue

Ncounter, a stylish eatery offering breakfast and lunch seven days a week, opened Saturday on Mill Avenue in downtown Tempe.

Located on the southwest corner of Mill and Third Street, Ncounter is the brainchild of Thom and Kathy Coker, owners of popular Mesa breakfast spot T.C. Eggington’s.

Ncounter’s breakfast menu isn’t nearly as extensive as T.C. Eggington’s, but borrows liberally from it.  For example, the latter’s O’Pear Grenache, an omelet with Bosc pear, Havarti cheese, almonds and bacon, is re-monikered simply The Pear at Ncounter.

But you won’t find T.C. Eggington’s country kitchen decor. Instead of chicken-wire-covered menus and red-and-green plaid tablecloths, Ncounter sports a modern-industrial look with butcher-block tables, black-and-gray walls and cement floor.

Other features include a community table, a five-seat espresso bar and a south-facing patio.

Ncounter is open 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily.
