New Times’ recent visit to Tina’s Ethiopian Cafe‘s new Gilbert location has erupted into a full-fledged war of words on the alt-weekly’s website – 76 mostly nasty comments and counting.
The original blog post seemed fairly benign: The paper noted the sample platter it tried, while tasty, was a little lacking in selection. Also mentioned was how the restaurant seemed overwhelmed by a full house of customers.
Not exactly the harshest of criticisms.
Still, the post’s comments section has blown up with Tina, her fans and members of the Valley’s “foodarazzi” going at it.
Warning: It gets quite nasty and X-rated at times.
