Four Arizona breweries, including three from the East Valley, won medals this weekend at the prestigious Great American Beer Festival in Denver.
- Barley Brothers Restaurant & Brewery in Lake Havasu City won a gold medal in the Chocolate Beer category with its Chocolate Beer.
- SanTan Brewing Company in Chandler won a silver medal in Fruit Wheat Beer with its Mr. Pineapple Wheat.
- BJ’s Restaurant & Brewhouse in Chandler won a silver medal in Field Beer or Pumpkin Beer with its Pumpkin Ale.
- Four Peaks Brewing Company in Tempe won a bronze medal in American-Style Strong Pale Ale with its Hop Knot.
