May 17: Sierra Nevada tap takeover at Flanny’s

By Jess Harter Monday, May 7, 2012

Sometimes it’s hard to think of Sierra Nevada as a craft brewer. After all, the California brewery is the sixth-largest in the United States. But it all started in 1979 when a pair of home brewers, Ken Grossman and Paul Camusi, decided to turn their hobby into a business.

You can check out 20 of Sierra Nevada’s current beers Thursday, May 17, when it takes over Flanny’s in Tempe. Here’s what will be tapped:

  • Pale Ale
  • Torpedo IPA
  • Summerfest
  • Kellerweis
  • Ruthless Rye
  • Celebration
  • Love Potion #69
  • Southern Hemisphere Harvest
  • Hoptimum
  • Ovila Dubbel
  • Ovila Quad
  • Blonde Ale
  • Bigfoot
  • Side Car Amber Ale
  • Knightro Irish Stout
  • Brown Ale
  • Blonde Ale
  • Best Bitter
  • Flipside IIPA
  • Porter

The fun starts at 6:30 p.m. As a bonus, enjoy live music by Shelby James at 7 p.m.
