Last month, a few of the contributors to The Beer Bros. website got together with Rob Sizemore and Matt Weber at Sleepy Dog Brewery to brew a collaboration beer. The result – an ESB, or Extra Special Bitter – will be unveiled at 6:30 Friday at the Tempe brewery.
If you need even more reason to check it out, know 50% of all proceeds from the evening will go to The Beer for Brains Foundation to fight brain cancer.
And it gets even better: Dan Medlen, a Valley baker who dishes out pizzas from his food truck-like mobile oven under the moniker Pizza Daux, will be on hand for a collaboration of his own.
He’ll team up with FnB line cook Minerva Orduño Rincón to offer $9 pizzas made with Rincon’s handmade chorizo marinated pork, roasted potatoes, mozzarella, and cilantro chimichurri sauce.
