Hard to believe Shark Week is 25 years old. In honor of the Discovery Channel’s annual marathon of shark programs, Harvey American Public House is chumming the waters with a bunch of specials this week.

The Gilbert restaurant and bar is getting a shipment of mako shark today – caught Saturday off the coast of Hawaii – and will be serving shark steak dinners and shark street tacos all week.

On Wednesday, a guest sushi chef will be making shark sushi rolls to pair with sake.

For beer drinkers, LandShark Lager from Anheuser-Busch will be on tap, and Great White witbier from Lost Coast will be available in bottles.

Anyone wearing shark-themed attire will get a $1 Shark Bite shot.

Harvey American also will be giving away tickets for the Arizona Diamondbacks’ series against the Miami Marlins next week.
