The Chandler Farmers Market returns from its summer hiatus today with a new location and a new focus.
Open 3-7 p.m. Thursdays, the market now will be set up in the recently remodeled ramada space on the east side of Arizona Avenue between Boston and Buffalo Streets.
The market formerly had ben held on the west side of Arizona Avenue, but the new site provides more parking and seating for visitors, according to market coordinator Marnie Brookins.
In addition to more than 30 vendors with produce, baked goods, condiments, and prepared foods, the market also will showcase a weekly event.
The kickoff event is a book exchange. Visitors are encouraged to bring used books to share and pick up new ones to read.
