AZ Wilderness Brewing gets equipment, but opening is pushed back

By Jess Harter Monday, October 29, 2012

Gilbert, we have brewing equipment.

Arizona Wilderness Brewing, the town’s first microbrewery, bought a used seven-barrel system from Carter’s Brewing in Billings, Mont., last week. It was unloaded today into their space on the southeast corner of Arizona Avenue and Guadalupe Road (next to Bruegger’s Bagels).

In the video above, brewmaster and co-owner John Buford explains the main components.

Wilderness has been slowed down trying to get its plans approved by the town, and co-owner Brett Dettler says it may be up to three more weeks before they can begin construction.

As a result, their goal of opening in December or January now is looking like February at the earliest.
