Kai, Arizona’s only AAA Five-Diamond and Forbes Five-Star restaurant, launches its annual Wine Dinner Series on Tuesday. The series will spotlight Italian wines at a six-course dinner every month through July.

Tuscan wineries for Tuesday’s kickoff dinner will include Panizzi from San Gimignano, Altesino from Montalcino, and Riecine & Castellare di Castellina from Chianti Classico.

A May 14 dinner will cover the Piedmont region, including Damilano from Barolo, Pruduttori del Barbaresco from Barbaresco, and Tenuta Broglia from Gavi.

A June 11 dinner will showcase the best of Sicily and will be held in partnership with the legendary Donnafugata winery, founded by the Rallo family, who together bring more than 150 years of experience in premium wine production.

The final wine dinner July 9 will focus on the central regions of Italy and highlight wines from the Marches, Umbria, and Emilia-Romanga regions.

The dinners will be $140 apiece (except for July 9), and seating is limited. Receptions will begin at 6:30 p.m., followed by dinner at 7. RSVP: 602-385-5726.
