Salut Kitchen Bar opens today in Tempe

Last month, told you about Salut Kitchen Bar planning to open on University, about a third of a mile west of McClintock, in Tempe. Today, the restaurant and wine bar officially opens to the public.

The 3,400-square-foot space, formerly Sayuri Sushi Bar, offers a mix of Mediterranean and American cuisine, including bruschetta, tapas, salads, sandwiches, and entrees.

Signature menu items are hummus nachos with feta, red onion, and pomegranate; roasted corn salad with avocado, tomatoes, mozzarella, and pine nuts; and vegetable paella with onions, bell peppers, eggplant, zucchini, tomato, mushrooms, green beans, and white beans.

More than 100 wines are available by the bottle or glass.

Salut has indoor and outdoor seating and a 20-seat bar. Doors open at 10 a.m. daily.
