Spicy puttanesca (pictured) will be one of the five featured dishes at this week’s “Taste of Romeo’s Euro Cafe” dinner at 6:30 p.m. Thursday.

The dinners, hosted by chef Romeo Taus and his wife, Janice, highlight a rotating selection from the Gilbert restaurant’s regular menu.

“Taste of Romeo’s” menu

  • Mushrooms Meteora: Baked button mushroom caps filled with feta cheese, capers, artichoke hearts, and dill.
  • Mandarin Dijon Chicken Salad: Grilled chicken, black olives, mandarin oranges, peas, carrots, water chestnuts, pecans, hearts of palm, and pineapple with honey Dijon dressing.
  • Asparagus Eggplant: Layers of fresh eggplant, roasted red peppers, Romano, and ricotta. Baked in marinara and garnished with asparagus spears.
  • Spicy Puttanesca: Grilled chicken breast and Italian sausage with sautéed black peppercorns, capers, pine nuts, kalamatas, scallions, and roasted garlic in basil-roasted and fresh tomato-anchovy sauce.
  • Irish Cream Cheesecake: Irish Cream liquor and mini chocolate chips.

Cost is $25 per person, and you can add five wine tastings for another $8. RSVP: 480-962-4224.
