Now that he’s finally given notice at his current job, we can report Andrew Bauman (pictured in green shirt) has been hired as brewer at The Perch, the much-anticipated restaurant and nanobrewery coming to downtown Chandler.

Bauman has been a prolific home brewer, making about 50 different beers a year. The Chandler resident also has been teaching the city’s home-brewing class (through the Parks & Rec department, shown above).

For the past four years, he has been working for Jennifer’s Catering.

The Perch is scheduled to open in October, but the nanobrewery isn’t expected to be operational until January.
