Goodbye, giant iguana.

If you’ve cruised down Alma School Road in Chandler lately, you may have noticed something new. Or, rather, something missing.

After 14 years, Iguana Mack’s Bar & Grill has removed the iconic lizard metal sculpture from its building in preparation for the roadhouse-style venue to transition into two new concepts.

The first restaurant will be called Social Box Neighborhood Eatery and open next month. The name of the second restaurant, as well as details about Social Box, will be released soon.

In the meantime, the iguana sculpture was auctioned off, raising $2,500 for Chandler non-profit ICAN.
