Fiesta Mexicana, a growing Mexican restaurant chain in the Southwest, has taken over the former Table 49 building on the northeast corner of Alma School and Chandler Heights in south Chandler.

The location is the chain’s ninth in Arizona, New Mexico, Utah, and Colorado. It’s the first in the East Valley; other Arizona locations are in Avondale and Page.

Fiesta Mexicana’s extensive menu offers burritos ($9.95-$14.95 with beans and rice), enchildadas ($9.95-$11.95 with beans and rice), tostadas ($10.95-$12.95), salads ($8.95-$10.95) and numerous entrees.

Specialties include the Fiesta Especial (beef, chicken, and shrimp simmered in special sauce, $17.95), pescado frito (deep-fried whole tilapia, $13.95), and pork carnitas ($13.95).

Ten lunch specials, ranging from carne asada (pictured) to pollo en mole, are $9.95.

A full bar serves beer (sorry, no craft beer), tequila, and cocktails.

Fiesta Mexicana is open for lunch and dinner daily.
