Yoli’s Cafe already halfway to fundraising goal of $5,000

By Jess Harter Tuesday, October 21, 2014

Thanks to an outpouring of support from the community, Yoli’s Cafe in Chandler may be able to reopen as soon as this weekend.

After thieves stole its grill during kitchen renovations last week, the small cafe launched a Go Fund Me campaign hoping to raise $5,000 in five days.

In its first day Monday, the campaign raised $2,570, mostly from $10 and $20 donations.

Co-owner Rick Scott says a new grill has been ordered and is expected to arrive Thursday. The money raised also replaces lost wages for the cafe’s eight employees.

You still can help Yoli’s reach its $5,000 goal by donating here.
