SanTan Brewing in downtown Chandler has tapped the third release in its new From the Vault series – The Mad Czar Russian Imperial Stout.
The 9.9% ABV (alcohol by volume) ale is available in pints at the brewpub. Four-packs of 16-ounce cans will hit stores next week.
The Vault series features a different limited-release, high-ABV ale every 6-8 weeks. Each is brewed in a 100-barrel batch at brewpub.
The series was launched with a pair of former SanTan seasonals: Count Hopula red IPA in October and Winter Warmer Ale in late November.
The Vault series takes its name from the historic Valley National Bank building that now houses that downtown Chandler brew pub.
The next release is expected to be called Fat AleBert Hey Hey Heavyweight Brown.
