Located on the northwest corner of Higley and Chandler Heights, the new fast-casual concept is in the same strip mall (and from the same owners) as Blue 32 Sports Grill.
The simple menu (see menu) features made-to-order food with local and fresh ingredients.
Fourteen specialty pizzas range from $8.45 for a Plain Jane (red sauce and mozzarella) to $12.45 for The Ultimate (red sauce, mozzarella, pepperoni, sausage, mushroom, and caramelized onions, pictured).
You also can create your own combinations with ingredients such as nitrate-free ham and pepperoni and house-made meatballs.
Five sandwiches ($9.95-$10.95) also feature filler- and nitrate-free meats. They come on house-baked ciabatta with a side choice of chips, quinoa salad, or Granny Smith apples.
Salads are $8.95.
Domestic drafts are $4, and house wine is $5 by the glass or $15 by the bottle.
Hours for the first couple of weeks will be 4-9 p.m. Tuesday-Sunday, but Local Eats eventually will serve lunch and dinner.
