Now in its 16th year, the format and rules haven’t changed:

• The promotion runs from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. and 4-8 p.m. No purchase is necessary. In fact, there’ll be no other menu items available to purchase.

• Expect a long line – Joe’s Real BBQ expects to give away more than 5,000 meals – but it moves quickly.

• The free meal consists of a pulled pork or chicken breast sandwich, BBQ beans, cole slaw, and a drink. There are kids-sized sandwiches available for kids.

• One meal per person. Must be present in person. Dine-in only.

•  Joe’s will be accepting donations of cans of food (fruit in particular) or boxes of cereal for the Open Arms Care Center (but not required).
