Fast-expanding Salad and Go opens its 4th location – and its 1st in Mesa

By Jess Harter Monday, October 5, 2015

Salad and Go, the “drive-through gourmet salad bar” concept launched by a Gilbert couple disappointed with the lack of healthy fast-food options in the area, has opened its first location outside Gilbert.

Located on southeast corner of Higley and Brown in Mesa, the location is Salad and Go’s fourth since launching in 2013. Two others are scheduled to open in Mesa, along with five in other parts of the Valley, by next summer.

Like previous locations, the Mesa one is offering lunch and dinner to start, with the breakfast menu to begin in a few weeks.

Salad and Go offers 10 gourmet salads created by Bourbon Steak executive chef Daniel Patino. The breakfast menu adds egg-white burritos, quinoa bowls, and power wraps.

Salad and Go also has a few seasonal items. Currently, they include a Fall Harvest Salad, Three Bean Vegetable Chili, and a Pumpkin Chai Smoothie (pictured).

The new Mesa location also is testing new made-from-scratch lemonades, such as Cucumber Mint and Spiced Apple.
