Chicago’s famed Lou Malnati’s Pizza announces site of 1st Valley location

Lou Malnati’s, one of the most revered names in Chicago pizza, has announced the site of its first out-of-state location. The pizzeria will open in the Uptown Plaza Shopping Center at First Street and Camelback in Phoenix.

“Uptown Plaza is a great location in a very family-focused neighborhood and we can’t wait to give everyone a true taste of Chicago,” owner Marc Malnati says.

Five members of the Lou Malnati’s Chicago management team are permanently relocating to the Valley to oversee the operations.

“It’s a big deal to be expanding outside of Chicago,” says owner Marc Malnati, who oversees 42 Windy City locations. “We are eager to bring our authentic Chicago-style deep dish pizza to Arizona.”

The new location will be approximately 8.300 square feet, which includes a 1,500-square-foot patio. Carry-out, delivery and catering will be available.

 A spring opening is planned.
