This Saturday night, Mesa will see the soft opening of the city’s first weekly food truck roundup, dubbed the Mesa Feastival Forest, at Pioneer Park on the east edge of downtown.

The roundup, which will run 5:30-9 p.m., is from the organizers of the Gilbert Food Truck Food Court, Gilbert Town Square Feastival, and Queen Creek Feastival.

A grand opening will be held the following week on Black Friday, Nov. 27.

In addition, the food court will take place six days a week during the holiday season from Nov. 27 to Dec. 31 (except Christmas).

Starting Jan. 1, the event will return to just Saturday nights year-round.

Each week, organizers promise 10-20 food trucks, a variety of boutique vendors, and live music.

The lineup for this Saturday’s soft opening (subject to change):

Pioneer Park is located on the north side of Main Street just east of Mesa Drive, near the end of the recently opened light rail line (map).

The food trucks will set up in the southwest corner of the park.
