Tracy Dempsey, one of Arizona’s premier pastry chefs, has opened a new, expanded Tracy Dempsey Originals on the southeast corner of Priest and University in Tempe.

Dempsey rose to prominence a decade ago at Old Town Scottsdale’s Cowboy Caio thanks to creative desserts like her signature bacon pecan brittle.

In 2012 she launched her own business in a small Tempe space, creating desserts for some of the Valley’s best-known restaurants, including Citizen Public House, The Gladly, and Crudo.

A new expansion has doubled the size of that space, making room for a new kitchen, more storage area, and a retail storefront.

Starting today Dempsey is selling her fresh baked goods, desserts, and confections to the public from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Thursdays and Fridays and 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturdays.

You also can shop online.
