Cornish Pasty Co., the Tempe eatery that introduced Arizonans to the English version of the calzone, has opened its long-awaited location on the northeast corner of Mill and Fifth Street in downtown Tempe.

Located less than a mile from the original restaurant on Hardy and University, the Mill CPC is the Valley’s fourth, joining other spinoffs in Mesa and Scottsdale. Another is scheduled to open next month in downtown Phoenix.

The Mill location takes over a 1,000-square-foot space that previously housed Boston vs. New York Pizza, Paisan’s Pizza & Italian Kitchen, and Famous Potato, among others. It has a full bar, but only a limited menu that will change weekly.

Hours are 11 a.m.-midnight Sunday-Wednesday and 11 a.m.-2:30 a.m. Thursday-Saturday.
