Phoenix Ale Brewery Central Kitchen, a collaboration between Phoenix Ale Brewery and former NYPD Pizza CEO Rich Stark, opens Wednesday in Phoenix.

The gastropub is located in the Crown on 7th plaza on the east side of Seventh Street just south of Bethany Home.

Central Kitchen offers dishes like Ale House Chicken Fried Chicken, Cast Iron Macaroni and Cheese, and a BBQ Bison Burger along with nine of Phoenix Ale’s beers on tap.

About a third of the menu items include beer as a key ingredient. The sauce on the BBQ Bison Burger, for example, is made with King George Amber, a new beer named Phoenix Ale’s late owner George Hancock.

The menu’s signature dish is Black Iron Pizza (pictured), baked in a square pan that provides a delicious thin crust pie. Options range from a traditional meat pizza to a one-of-a-kind mashed potato pizza.

Hours are 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday, and 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday. Crowler and growler refills are available.
