Pedal Haus Brewery opening in downtown Phoenix? Not exactly

By Jess Harter Friday, July 1, 2016

Perhaps this helps explain the abrupt closure and expansion of Pedal Haus Brewery in Tempe:

The Phoenix Business Journal reports Pedal Haus owner Julian Wright has agreed to introduce a 24-tap self-serve craft beer wall for a beer garden at The Park, scheduled to open this summer in downtown Phoenix.

The Park, which takes over the old Stoudemire’s space in the Collier Center, is an 11,000-square-foot concept featuring a rotating selection of food trucks and caterers, a craft beer garden, and a live-music stage.

Basically, it’s an indoor food-truck court with picnic tables, yard games, and artificial trees to create a backyard atmosphere.

The Park recently announced Paradise Valley Burger Company, which was featured on the Food Network’s ‘‘Diners, Drive-Ins & Dives,’’ also would be joining the concept.
