Mambo’s Dominican Kitchen takes over ex-Mimita’s space in Chandler

By Jess Harter Friday, July 15, 2016

Mambo’s Dominican Kitchen – offering what it calls “a real taste of homemade Dominican food’’ – has opened (for a second time) on the southwest corner of Arizona and Warner in Chandler.

It takes over the former Mimita’s Cuban Cafe, which closed last summer.

The original Mambo’s Restaurant opened in Queen Creek in 2012 but closed after a year.

It reopened with its updated name in Mimita’s space in May, unexpectedly closed in mid-June, then reopened again in late June.

See the takeout menu and daily specials here.

Hours are 11 a.m.-9 p.m. Tuesday-Thursday, 11 a.m.-10 p.m. Friday-Saturday, and 11 a.m.-7 p.m. Sunday.
