TQLA abruptly closes after 4 years at Mesa’s Dana Park

By Jess Harter Wednesday, August 10, 2016

TQLA, a stylish yet casual Mexican and Southwestern restaurant and bar, has closed after four years at Dana Park on the northwest corner of Val Vista and Baseline in Mesa.

The spacious restaurant opened in September 2012 in a stand-alone building that originally was home to a Southwest-style chophouse concept called Sautée.

TQLA especially was known for its huge selection of tequilas, including seasonally infused tequilas and four tequilas served on tap at 5 degrees Farenheit.

TQLA’s original Houston location closed in 2014. The Mesa location was its only spinoff.

The restaurant made the closure announcement on its Facebook page:

‘‘It is with heavy hearts that today we make the announcement that we will be closing our doors effective today, August 10. This has been a very difficult but necessary decision.

We have very much enjoyed being a part of the community and wish you all the very best.’’
