Good Time Charli’s, a bar and grill with plans to offer live music seven days a week, opens at 10 a.m. today on the southwest corner of Kyrene and Chandler Boulevard in west Chandler.
It takes over the strip-mall space that formerly was home to Beef O’Brady’s and, before that, the Regal Beagle and, before that, Hitts sports bar.
Charli is owner Charlene ‘‘Charli’’ Tarango Hopewell, who’s a locally known singer and musician, a personal trainer, and a bartender.
She’s partnering with former boss and mentor Jolie Boucher, owner of Jolie’s Place, another Chandler bar and grill.
Good Time Charli’s 4,000-square-foot interior has been extensively remodeled, including a new bar top with pennies under acrylic, 21 large TVs, and a large raised stage.
There’s also a 500-square-foot courtyard patio on the shady north side.
The kitchen features a standard pub-grub menu of burgers, sandwiches, pizzas, and tacos.
The bar has 26 taps for beers and another six dispensing wine and margaritas.
Good Time Charli’s is open from 10 a.m.-2 a.m. daily.
