By Jess Harter Monday, September 26, 2016

Macayo’s celebrates its 70th anniversary today, and the Mexican restaurants are offering a pair of 70-cent specials:

  • Classic Shredded Beef Taco (normally $4.99)
  • Red Cheese Enchilada (normally $4.99)

The specials are for dine-in only, and there’s a limit of four items per diner.

Founders Woody and Victoria Johnson opened their first restaurant in Phoenix in 1946.

Today, the family-run chain has 13 locations, including ones in Mesa, Tempe, and Chandler.
