Aaron Chamberlain, the chef behind St. Francis and Phoenix Public Market Cafe in Phoenix, plans to open a third restaurant this summer: Tempe Public Market Cafe.

The 3,200-square-foot restaurant will take over a former Circle K on the northeast corner of Rural and Warner in south Tempe.

The menu will have many of the same dishes as the Phoenix cafe (pictured above), which offers breakfast burritos and biscuits and gravy for breakfast, burgers and sandwiches for lunch, and a few additional entrees for dinner.

The Tempe cafe will specialize pizzas, something not available at the Phoenix location.

“We see a huge opportunity in south Tempe, an area that is very much underserved when it comes to locally owned restaurants,” Chamberlin says.
