Romeo’s Euro Cafe in Gilbert holds its weekly ‘‘Taste of Romeo’s’’ dinner, hosted by chef Romeo Taus and his wife, Janice, in a private dinning room, at 6:30 p.m. Thursday.

The dinners typically feature five courses selected from the restaurant’s regular menu. This week’s menu:

  • Spanaki Balls: Balls of spinach, rice, mozzarella, and provolone. Battered and deep fried. Served with chilled tomato sauce.
  • Balsamic Steak Salad: Grilled steak tossed in extra virgin olive oil and balsamic vinegar with roasted red peppers, scallions, tomatoes, mushrooms, red cabbage, artichoke hearts, and sunflower seeds with romaine lettuce.
  • Garlic Chicken Pesto: Chicken breast sautéed with roasted garlic, pine nuts in basil pesto cream.
  • Paella Barcelona: Shrimp, chicken, clams, Italian sausage, hearts of artichoke and palm, spinach, red bell peppers, onions, tomatoes, and brown rice.
  • Puff Difer: Puff pastry, fig and creamy chocolate filling, chocolate sauce.

Cost is $27 per person plus tax and tip. Add five wine tastes for $10. RSVP: 480-962-4224.
