The Valley’s craft beer community is mourning the loss of one of its own today. Pedal Haus assistant brewer Ian Campbell-O’Neill passed away Saturday from injuries suffered in a motorcycle accident in east Mesa.

‘‘Ian was one of the most kind and positive people I have ever worked with and he will be missed terribly,’’ Pedal Haus owner Julian Wright wrote on Facebook. ‘‘It’s still unbelievable to think we won’t get to see his smiley face at Pedal Haus again.’’

Before joining the downtown Tempe brewery last September, Campbell-O’Neill was head brewer at Blasted Barley. Prior to that, he brewed at Uncle Bear’s.

Condolences to his family, loved ones, friends, and co-workers.
