5 things you need to know about the Great American Barbeque & Beer Festival

1. The eighth annual Great American Barbeque & Beer Festival returns to Dr. A.J. Chandler Park in downtown Chandler from noon-10 p.m. Saturday.

2. More than 60 BBQ and food vendors will serve more than 20,000 pounds of smoked meats. Other food options will include brats, hot dogs, corn dogs, fry bread, churros, ice cream, and more.

3. Downtown Chandler’s SanTan Brewing will provide more than 200 kegs of craft beer.

4. Festival activities will include live country music, a March Madness lounge, grilling demonstrations, a kids zone, eating competitions, mechanical bull riding, lawn games, and 100-plus exhibitors.

5. General admission is $15 online or $20 at the gate. Children 12 years and younger are free. Food and beverages are sold separately.
