7 things you need to know about 2017 Bacon, Blues and Brews Fest

1. The third annual Bacon, Blues & Brews Fest runs noon-9 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 4, at Founders Park (map) near Ellsworth and Ocotillo in Queen Creek.

2. Admission is $8 in advance or $12 (cash only) at the gate. Kids 12 and under get in free. A limited number of $65 VIP tickets are available.

3. Parking is available at the library on the northwest corner of Ellsworth and Ocotillo and at the Parks & Rec building about a quarter-mile south. Free shuttles will run to the fest.

4. Food for sale will include bacon poutine (pictured), bacon tacos, bacon-wrapped jalapenos, bacon bruschetta, bacon cake pops, bacon brownies, bacon flights, chocolate-covered bacon, and other bacon delights. For unknown reasons, non-bacon foods also will be available.

5. Craft beers will include the fest’s signature Bacon Beer from OHSO Brewing. Other participating breweries include Uncle Bear’s, SunUp, The Perch, Old Ellsworth, Beer Research Institute, and several others. Wine also will be available.

6. Activities will include live music, a foosball tournament, and a kids zone.

7. Things you’re allowed to bring in: Small dogs on leash, lawn chairs, strollers, blankets, hand-held umbrellas, two unopened bottles of water per person.
