Happy Joe’s Pizza in Gilbert has closed after two-and-a-half years just east of Gilbert and Warner. The franchise of the popular Midwest chain had opened in June 2015 and, at just 1,300 square feet, depended on takeout and delivery.
In 2016, the franchise owners bought Nello’s Pizza in Tempe and attempted to turn it into a Happy Joe’s-Nello’s hybrid, but the location closed in early 2017.
