It didn’t take long for Eddie Matney to get a new gig. Just eight months after the closure of his eponymous Eddie’s House in Old Town Scottsdale, the well-known chef has signed on as an ‘‘advisor’’ for Gino’s East of Chicago.

No word yet on what Matney will be doing for Gino’s East, one of several Chicago-based deep-dish pizza places to open in the Valley in recent years.

The former Eddie’s House recently reopened as Blue Clover Distillery.

Gino’s East, located at 36th Street and Indian School in Phoenix, also announced its new DeepAF Pizza (pictured) – with 75% more cheese and double the toppings – will debut this Friday, Feb. 9, which is National Pizza Day.
