Pedal Haus brewer Derek Osborne and Craft 64 chef Josh Ivey team up as part of the downtown Tempe brewery’s Chefs Brew Beer Series from noon-3 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 18.

The highlight of the event will be the tapping of their collaboration beer, Currant Affairs, a Belgian abbey ale brewed with blueberries and cassis (black currant syrup) and fermented in Zinfandel barrels for 10 months.

Pints will be $5 while supplies last.

Ivey also will offer three small plates:

  • Buffalo di Mozzarella: Mozzarella from Capania, Italy; heirloom tomatoes; arugula; pesto; basil ($5).
  • Polpetta con Uovo: Beef/pork meatball, classic tomato sauce, housemade mozzarella, and sunny side up egg ($5).
  • Craft 64 Pizzetta: 8-inch pizza with arugula pesto, housemade mozzarella, Pedal Haus roasted chicken, and goat cheese ($5).

In addition, Pedal Haus’ regular all-day Sunday specials include $3 select Pedal Haus beers, $3 mimosas, $4 Bloody Marys, $5 margaritas, and half-off wings.

A follow-up event will be held Monday, Feb. 19, at Craft 64 in Old Town Scottsdale. Meet the brewers and keep the pint glass.
