The Nitro Live Icecreamery, the latest Valley dessert shop offering custom ice cream dishes frozen with liquid nitrogen, has made its debut on the northwest corner of Cooper and Warner in Gilbert.

Customers can choose from seven kinds of cream (original ice cream, custard, yogurt, low fat, no sugar added, lactose-free, and vegan), 30 flavors, and 24 toppings to make their own creations.

Nitro Live then uses liquid nitrogen to freeze the mixture in 90 seconds. Customers can request a shorter freeze time for softer ice cream or a longer time for firmer ice cream.

The Gilbert-based concept is opening additional locations at Gilbert and Baseline in Mesa and Higley and Chandler Heights in southeast Gilbert in the next month.

Another location at Ironwood and Ocotillo in San Tan Valley is scheduled to open in the next six months.
