JC’s Steakhouse in Gilbert will hold a Sizzling Summer Songwriters Showcase on Wednesday, July 18, to help promote original music and local talent.
Hosted by Gilbert guitarist and singer Charles Rehder, the showcase will run from 6:30-9:30 p.m. in the steakhouse’s newly remodeled bar area.
Musicians also will be able to network, find collaborators, learn what to do with their songs, and generally support local music.
Ten-minute slots are limited; contact Rehder via Facebook to secure one before they’re filled. Speakers, monitors, mics, and a manned sound board will be provided.
Performers can have support people play bass, keyboard, guitar, etc. (three to four people max). There will be no room for drums.
There is no cost to attend or perform. JC’s will offer food and drink specials.
