East Valley Growler Guide

In August 2012, a new law took effect allowing any Arizona bar or liquor store, or any restaurant with a Series 7 liquor license, to sell and refill growlers with any beer it has on tap, if it so chooses.

General guidelines

Under Arizona law, growlers brought in for refill must be clean, made of glass, have a government warning label, and be no larger than 64 ounces.
Nitrogenated beers are not sold in growlers because they don’t keep well.
Bars and stores often choose not to sell limited-availability beers in growlers.
