Feb. 14: Beer My Valentine dinner at SunUp Brewing

SunUp Brewing in Phoenix is offering a Valentine’s Day beer dinner with four food courses and six of its craft beers at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 14.

The menu and pairings:

  • Meet & greet beer: The Limey Blonde.
  • Appetizer: Hazelnut-crusted seared lamb chop with a red currant nage (creamy butter sauce) and micro radish greens. Paired with Strong and Wrong.
  • Salad: Baby romaine with fresh sliced strawberries, shaved aged manchego, toasted macadamia nuts, and an Old Bumbler vinaigrette. Paired with Arizona Amber.
  • Entrée: Marinated duck breast, seared crispy, with parsley buttered new potatoes, brown butter sautéed asparagus, and a creamy demi glaze. Paired with Super Duper Trooper.
  • Dessert: Individual heart-shaped petits fours flavored with dark and white chocolates, mint, and raspberries, with honeyed whipped cream. Paired with Cherry Imperial Brown.
  • Digestive: Christina’s candied ginger snap with a glass of Sunna’s Nectar with a touch of ginger.

There also is a vegetarian version of the menu.
