aztacofest101116The eighth annual Arizona Taco Festival returns to Salt River Fields in Scottsdale from 11 a.m.-7 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 14, and Sunday, Oct. 15.

Fifty of the Valley’s top taco joints and food trucks will be selling tacos for $2 apiece and competing in various categories, such as best beef taco, pork taco, chicken taco, and dessert taco, each day.

The Margarita Tent, which debuted last year, returns with 16 mixologists offering their takes on margaritas.

Other attractions include a tequila expo (Saturday only), eating contests, live music, luche libre wrestling, a chihuahua beauty pageant, and a kids zone.

New for 2017 is a cashless ticket system. Instead of buying tokens, attendees will receive RFID wristbands that they will have to link to personal cashless accounts (more info).

General admission is $12 online or $15 at the gate. Kids 12 and under get in free. All food and drink is an additional cost.
