Pedal Haus Brewery coming to downtown Chandler

By Jess Harter Thursday, December 19, 2019

Pedal Haus Brewery, the 4-year-old award-winning craft brewery in downtown Tempe, is opening a second location in downtown Chandler.

It will take over the Boston Street space currently home to Las Palmas Cantina, which announced earlier this week it will close New Year’s Eve.

Pedal Haus beers have won several recent awards, and it earned honors as the best brewery in the U.S. at this year’s Copa Cervezas de America international beer competition.

Las Palmas, a Mexican seafood restaurant and bar, was launched by Pedal Haus owner Julian Wright in May 2018. This summer, he announced plans to transform it into a new concept called Chandler Yacht Club.

Now, however, Wright and Pedal Haus co-owner Derek Osborne plan to make it the first of several satellite locations of the brewery.

The Chandler location will offer most of the Tempe food menu with the exception of no pizzas but with the addition of a few bar snacks and a unique brunch menu on weekends.

Brewing operations will remain at the Tempe brewery under Osborne’s direction. The Chandler location will have 10 Pedal Haus beers on tap.

Wright hopes to open Pedal Haus Chandler on Feb. 14 with a grand opening celebration in March.
