Here’s some potentially great news: The Pink Pony, the 61-year-old landmark in Old Town Scottsdale that closed in 2009, apparently is reopening. A mysterious post on the legendary sports bar and restaurant’s new website (pictured) says:
After a long, wonderful (not to mention notorious) ride for over 60 years, she got “traded to another man.” Two cool guys took that pony in and showered her with love. They’d ridden her as kids and had fond memories and an appreciation of what she’d done and where she’d taken them – and so many others – in the past. With sweet hopes, they dreamed of where they could go together in the future. Then, with a little help from a friend, they stumble across this dude to “run the stable.” The rest will be “The New History of the Pink Pony, Volume II.”
The website promises an “early 2011” opening.
