LGO Public House, scheduled to open next month, has pulled out of CityScape, the $900 million retail/commercial project in downtown Phoenix.
Bob Lynn, founder of the La Grande Orange restaurant group, says the “space wasn’t suitable” to build a ventilation system for cooking with wood and charcoal.
Skeptics will see this as more evidence of the lack of viability for restaurants in downtown Phoenix, where recent closures include Verde, PastaBar, Tradiciones.
La Grande Orange currently operates La Grande Orange Grocery & Pizzeria and Chelsea’s Kitchen in Arcadia.
