A new French restaurant, La Petite France, is scheduled to open March 5 at the Seville Shopping Center in north Scottsdale.
The owners are Denis and Catherine Michel, who recently moved to the Valley from Strasbourg, France, which is close to the German border.
La Petite France’s specialties will include flammekueche (pictured), a rectangle of bread dough covered with crème fraiche, thinly sliced onions and lardons (similar to bacon), and crosty, potatoes topped with various ingredients and cheeses then baked in a wood-fired oven.
The bistro will be open for breakfast, lunch and dinner daily.
