From the we-wish-this-was-a-joke file:
Blair River, the 572-pound Mesa man who gained worldwide attention last fall when he was named the official spokesman of Chandler’s infamous Heart Attack Grill, has died at age 29.
The cause of River’s unexpected death is unknown, though some have cited a battle with the flu leading to pneumonia in blog posts.
River was a regular customer at Heart Attack, a restaurant owned by former nutritionist Jon Basso that’s known for its 8,000-calorie meals. A sign in front of the building reads, “Caution. This establishment is bad for your health.”
