Nobuo at Teeter House in Phoenix and Roka Akor in Scottsdale are stepping up to help victims of the Japanese earthquake.
Starting Thursday, both Japanese restaurants will be donating an unspecified percentage of their revenues for the rest of March to the Red Cross.
Nobuo chef-owner Nobuo Fukuda (pictured) says:
Though I came from Japan 30 years ago to live in the United States, I have family still living there and a strong connectionto and appreciation for Japan. Helping even in a small way to support the recovery efforts in the days and months ahead is a cause to which I am completely dedicated.
The Kapoor Foundation will match the funds raised from both restaurants.
In addition, Stingray Sushi has created a new menu item called a Recovery Roll, from which it will donate all proceeds to the Red Cross.
The special sushi roll is available at both Stingray’s Scottsdale and Phoenix locations.
