Former All-Star pitcher Greg Maddux will host Uncork for a Cause, a fundraiser for his Maddux Foundation, at The Phoenician’s J&G Steakhouse on March 24.
From 6 to 8 p.m., guests will enjoy hors d’oeuvres from J&G chef Jacques Qualin and Arizona’s first tasting of the very limited Greg Maddux 2006 Napa Valley Reserve red wine, of which only 56 cases were produced.
There also will be a silent auction and wine tasting. Admission is $75 per person, and guests have the opportunity to purchase an autographed bottle of Greg Maddux’s wine for an additional $95.
Maddux was the first pitcher in major league history to win the Cy Young Award for four consecutive years (1992–1995) and is the only pitcher in major-league history to win at least 15 games for 17 straight seasons.
